Golden Circle Day Trip

Full day
After breakfast, depart around 9:00am for the famous Golden Circle Tour.

The Golden Circle is the highlight of the Icelandic tour and includes three famous sites, namely the old Parliament (Thingvellir National Park), the Geysir Hot Spring Area and the Golden Falls (Gullfoss). The day ends at 18:00.

End of the day, transfer back to the hotel at 18:00
Aurora Borealis Tour: Please note that we will be running an Aurora Borealis tour if the weather permits. If not on the first day, the tour will be postponed to the second day.

ThingvellirNationalPark
Early morning departure to Thingvellir National Park, the former seat of the National Assembly, to see the natural beauty along the way. Situated on the edge of a huge rift valley created by the separation of the North American and Eurasian plates, Gwilir National Park (Þingvellir) is magnificent and a World Heritage Site. Ancient volcanic movements tore the ground apart, shaking every visitor who set foot on it, and the rift is still separating at a rate of 2cm per year. Larger fissures have formed lakes and rivers in the middle, with clear, turquoise water.

Geysers
After leaving Singhwili National Park we will head to the Geysir Geyser, an attraction where the water in the eye of the geyser reaches temperatures of over 100 degrees. Each time it erupts, the cave rumbles, gradually becoming louder and louder, and the boiling water rises and rises, eventually bursting out of the mouth of the cave and shooting up into the air, turning into steam some 20 to 30 metres into the sky, before falling back down as pearls of jade. Each eruption lasts about 1 to 2 minutes and then subsides. This process is repeated over and over again and is very beautiful. There are also other smaller geysers around the Great Geyser. Stay here for an hour and you are sure to get a great view of the eruption, but stand well or you may get drenched. Our lunch will also be free at the Geyser Geyser Visitor Centre, so listen carefully to your guide"s explanation of the local food and choose a lunch that suits you.

Golden Falls (Gullfoss)
In the afternoon we will visit the famous Golden Falls (Gullfoss). Gullfoss, also known as Golden Falls, is one of the three sites on the Golden Mile Day Trip around Reykjavík, and is the largest faulted waterfall in Iceland, with a width of 2,500 metres and a drop of 70 metres. Under the sun"s rays, the water splashing over the falls reflects a rainbow of wrought gold, giving the falls their name. (On a clear day you can see Iceland"s third largest glacier, the Lange, from a distance). In summer find a good angle to capture the rainbow. The films "Putumethes" and "Star Trek" were filmed here.

Crater Lake Keres
Crater Lake KERID is within the Golden Circle and is over 3000 years old and, like the other volcanic rocks in the area, consists of red (rather than black) volcanic rock. The crater itself has a depth of about 55 m, a width of 170 m and a span of 270 m (890 ft). Although most of the crater is steep-walled and almost devoid of vegetation, one of the walls slopes more gently and is covered with deep moss, and the crater lake itself is shallow (7-14 m, depending on rainfall and other factors) but, thanks to the minerals in the soil In summer it is an opaque, vivid aquamarine.

trip to the southern coastline

Full day
Departing from the hotel at 9am, we will visit some of the most spectacular sites in the south of Iceland today, Selia Blue Falls, Forest Falls and Black Beach. The drive from Reykjavik to our first site in the south takes two hours, so we will make a stop at the LAVA Volcano Museum where guests can use the toilet and learn about Iceland"s volcanoes (outside admission is free) and where we recommend buying water and snacks if you need them, as there are no more places to sell them on the next site.
Forest waterfall
The first attraction in the south, Forest Falls, takes less than an hour to reach from the LAVA Museum. The Forest Falls, which cascades down 60 metres from the dense forest, is so powerful that it is often used as an advertising element. Its fame lies not in its size and beauty, but in an ancient legend.

After a visit to the forest falls, we will have a group lunch - traditional Icelandic lamb soup (or vegetable soup) - at a restaurant next to the forest falls. (There is a small selection of restaurants near the forest falls, the temperature around the area is low, and due to time constraints, we recommend that you follow the group for a group lunch; Forest Falls Light Lunch: 2700 ISK per person, approx. 20 Euros per person)

Black Beach
One of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world, Reynisfjara, in the town of Vik, is covered in black sand that is said to be the result of a witch"s magic, black and yet crystal clear. In fact, the gravel is lava from volcanic eruptions, eroded by sea winds and waves to form basalt grains. The most bizarre feature is the columnar joints next to the beach, which are purely natural. (Please strictly follow the instructions of your guide and do not go near the big waves to avoid danger.

Seljaran Falls
One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland, with a vertical height of about 60 metres, the Seljaran Falls are also a favourite with photographers and have been featured in books and magazines. The falls are conveniently located south of the Icelandic Ring Road 1.

City Tour + Blue Lagoon Spa + Reykjavik Peninsula Features

Full day
We will start at 9am with an hour and a half city tour of the world"s northernmost pocket capital. We will visit landmarks such as Hartgrem Cathedral, the Solfar Sunshine Pirate Ship and the Harpa Music Hall.

Reykjavík
Reykjavík (Icelandic: Reykjavík), the capital of Iceland, is located in the south-eastern corner of Fahsa Bay in western Iceland, on the northern side of the Seltiana peninsula, very close to the Arctic Circle, making it the most northerly capital in the world. It is Iceland"s largest port city, bordered by the sea to the west and surrounded by mountains to the north and east, with a mild climate influenced by the warm North Atlantic Current . The main attractions of Reykjavík include the Sunshine Pirate Ship, the international music building Harpa, the city centre parliament building and the natural lake in the city, the city centre landmark of Kröglinm Church and many more.

Blue Lake Spa
After the tour we will have lunch in the city centre before heading to the Blue Lagoon for a bath. Iceland is a country rich in geothermal resources and geothermal power plants are a major source of green energy and electricity in the region. The water, which is kept at around 40 degrees Celsius, is rich in minerals such as silica and sulphur, giving the lake an eerie blue colour. The Blue Lagoon has now become an icon of Iceland and many people who visit the country choose to take a nice dip in it. The water in the Blue Lagoon contains many chemical and mineral crystals that have been proven by Icelandic medical practitioners to have stress-relieving and other healing properties, which is why the products derived from the Lagoon are so popular. The silica mud in the hot springs is a great beauty treatment as a mask for the face. If it"s snowing, it"s wonderful to soak in the warm spring water and watch the snow drifting across the sky.

Note: This attraction is self-paying

The Pearl Building is a proud feature of the Icelandic people and the best place for every visitor to get a bird"s eye view of the city.
