Genoa - Monaco - Nice - Cannes

Full day
Monte Carlo
City tour of Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo is the principal municipality of the Principality of Monaco and is home to the famous Grand Casino. The Monte Carlo Grand Prix in January and the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix in May attract many visitors. There is also a music season, opera performances, the International Circus Festival (late January), ballet, and a fireworks extravaganza in July and August to keep the Monte Carlo area alive and well.

Nice
Nice has been described as ,the centre of the world"s rich and famous., The mix of luxurious villas by the sea, expensive shops and artistic flair makes Nice a unique blend of opulence and elegance. The Cimiez district, with its views to the north of the city, was a favourite of the Romans and Queen Victoria. Nice, which literally means a spring that gushes out of the cliffs by the sea, is perhaps also a tribute to it. With the Alps at its back, Nice is the fifth largest city in France and attracts thousands of visitors every year for a relaxing holiday.

Bay of Angels (Avenue of England)
A beautiful avenue lined with palm trees and flower beds along the coast of Nice, its official name is the Promenade des Anglais, popularly known as the English Walk because it was built as a pedestrian walkway with funds raised by the British expatriates, and was inaugurated very formally in 1931 by the Duke of Connaught, the second word of Queen Victoria. If there is a blue moon in this world, it must be in the Bay of Angels in Nice. The Bay of Angels, backed by the Avenue des Anglais, is a classic example of Nice"s blue coast adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea. In the summer months, the blue waters shine with incredible brilliance in the sunlight, the sheer colour of which is as tantalising as the curvature of the bay. Every year, countless tourists gather here, making it one of the few overcrowded holiday destinations in Europe.

Cannes
Cannes, a commune in the south of France, is located in the Alpes-Maritimes region on the Côte d"Azur, near the Mediterranean Sea. Cannes is famous for its beautiful beaches and for the Cannes Film Festival, which takes place every May.

One of the must-see attractions in Cannes is the Avenue of Stars, located near the Palais des Nations, where you can see the handprints of many stars on the pavement, which has now accumulated to over 300. Many film lovers and tourists come here to see the latest films, and the surrounding attractions are not to be missed.

Palais des Festivals de Cannes
Built in 1982, the Palais des Festivals is a key meeting place for the Cannes Film Festival, where the prestigious Palme d"Or is awarded. The Palais des Festivals currently has a total of 44,000 square metres of exhibition space and contains 15 concert halls. The Avenue of Stars is one of the must-see attractions in Cannes, located next to the Palais des Festivals, where you can see the handprints of many stars on the pavement, which has now accumulated to over 300.

After breakfast, travel to the former border between Italy and France and step into another small principality of wealthy people - [Monaco], stopping for a moment at [Monte Carlo], a world-famous casino where high society people gather.

Avignon - Paris

Full day
After breakfast, explore the city that was used as the residence of the Roman Pontiff in the 14th century. In the square beneath this Gothic building, the small palace and the main Roman chapel of the Canons of Notre Dame form an exceptional set of monuments highlighting Avignon"s prominent role in the Christianisation of Europe in the 14th century. Stand on the broken bridge in the Rhone and look around to experience the vicissitudes of the old city.

Avignon"s Old Town
But many religious may not be aware that they also had a religious capital in the south of France, which was Avignon. At the end of the 13th century, due to the fierce struggle between the political and religious factions in Rome, which directly threatened the security of the Pope, Pope Cremant V moved from Rome to Avignon with the support of King Philip IV, and this became the residence of the Pope in the 14th century.

The Papal Palace
Situated on the banks of the Rhône in Avignon, the Papal Palace is the largest and most important medieval Gothic building in Europe. It was built in 1334 and has been home to seven popes in succession. It is a combination of a palace and a castle and was built by order of Pope Benedict 12. During the French Revolution, however, the palace"s interior was almost completely destroyed and plundered, leaving only the interior empty.
